Forecast Snow Stability: Initially continued windslab development will add to existing accumulations, on mainly North-West through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. Steep sheltered locations such as gullies and coire rims will be most affected. As precipitation turns to rain these areas will become increasingly unstable and avalanches are likely. More isolated instabilities at lower levels. Cornices will be fragile and prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Heavy showers will initially be snow above 600 metres, turning to rain at most levels as the freezing level rises during the night. Rain showers will continue through the day turning to snow above 1000 metres towards the end of the afternoon as the freezing level lowers again. The freezing level will rise to around 1200 metres for most of the day. Strong Southerly winds will veer South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: A mainly dry cloudy day with moderate South-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose to around 700 metres during the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Weaknesses persist in windslab accumulations in steep wind sheltered locations. Greatest accumulations are on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres, with more isolated deposits at lower elevations. Cornices above these aspects are fragile. Wind exposed slopes are scoured and stable. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
