In sintesi

The wet snow avalanche hazard will increase after snow surfaces soften. Sunshine and warming temperatures will break down hard crusts that formed overnight and create the potential for humans to trigger wet loose and wet slab avalanches on steep snow covered slopes. Monitor conditions and avoid steep avalanche prone terrain during the warmer portion of the day.

Avalanche Discussion

A low pressure system from the Pacific will move through the region. Showers will develop overnight and become rather widespread during the morning hours. These showers will be mainly rain below an elevation of 9,000 feet. Several inches of wet snow accumulation are likely at the highest elevations by dusk. Southwest winds will increase along the higher ridge crests to speeds of 20 with gusts to 30 miles per hour. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s early in the morning and rise into the 30s in the mountains. Cooler conditions will decrease the wet snow avalanche hazard although some latent potential may remain for human triggered wet slides in very steep terrain where isothermal snow persists. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW.
