In sintesi

Colder air is moving into the region and mitigating the wet snow avalanche hazard. Some latent areas of isothermal snow may persist from the recent extended warm period however avalanches are unlikely.

Avalanche Discussion

The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Thursday. Cold temperatures and mostly cloudy skies will continue along with the chance for light, scattered snow showers. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the low teens before rising into the low 20s during the day. Westerly to northwesterly ridgetop winds will range from 10 to 20 miles per hour.Aside from an isolated pocket of new, very shallow surface slab near ridgelines at the higher elevations, the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely.
