Avalanche Summary

You could trigger avalanches where cohesive slabs of recent snow sit on top of weak snow. The most dangerous slopes are where winds drifted snow into thick, firm slabs. Drifted snow may feel stiff or crack under your weight. The most dangerous slopes face north to northeast through east, but you may find reactive drifts on other slopes. If you see shooting cracks or feel collapsing, you can choose safer terrain by moving to slopes less than about 35 degrees in steepness.
