In sintesi
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE in steep avalanche terrain where dense slabs up to 4 feet in depth lie upon weak faceted October snow. These dangerous slabs could be triggered by riders or skiers or could release naturally. Avalanches are unlikley in areas not underlain by old snow layers.
