The avalanche hazard is Moderate today. Heavy snowfall and strong winds will begin to form sensitive surface slabs today that lie upon weak faceted snow on most aspects and on crusts on south facing slopes. These areas may be triggered by backcountry users where winds are depositing deeper slabs on steeper terrain.
