The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. Slabs lie in avalanche terrain to three feet in depth. Settlement has increased the strength and stability of these slabs, however backcountry users could trigger slides on steep wind loaded slopes, particularly near cliff and rocky areas where shallower snow encourages the development of weak layers in the snow.
