The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Dense slabs to two feet in depth lie upon weak layers of faceted snow. These slabs could be triggered by riders or skiers on steep slopes on a variety of aspects. It may be possible to high mark or cross these unstable slabs multiple times before they are triggered with serious consequences.
