In sintesi

Warm, dense new snow is falling onto ten inches of light powder. Strong winds at ridgetops are creating easily triggered slabs to two feet in depth on lee slopes. Under the new snow, at all elevations, older slabs to three feet in depth lie upon a weak layer of surface hoar and faceted snow. The new snowload on these weak layers will increase the chance of triggering a deeper slide. Sunday a skier was partially buried in a slide on a steep, north northeast slope at low elevation west of Teton Pass.
