In sintesi

At high elevations in very steep terrain, riders and skiers have the potential to trigger pockets of soft slab to one foot depths. At the mid and low elevations, isolated pockets of shallow slabs that lie upon faceted snow could be triggered.

Small pockets of wind slab lie at high elevations, particularly in very steep avalanche starting zones and near cliff edges. These slabs rest upon faceted snow and hard snow surfaces and may be triggered with depths to one foot.

Avalanche Discussion

Limited moisture may result in some cloudiness with a slight chance of snow flurries at the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere. Temperatures at all elevations will drop to ten to 15 degrees below zero overnight and rise into the single digits during the day. Winds will be northerly at about five miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW at all elevations. However, low hazard does not mean there will be no hazard. At the upper elevations the weight of a single person could trigger isolated pockets of wind slab up to one foot in depth. In extreme terrain these shallow wind slabs could knock a person over and carry them over a cliff or into a terrain trap.
