Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are free of avalanche danger. If you were to trigger a small avalanche, it would be where you find a pocket of stiff wind-drifted snow on a steep alpine slope.

New snow and strong winds could be enough to increase the avalanche Thursday and into the weekend.
