Avalanche Summary

Friday marks the last day of generally safe avalanche conditions before a storm arrives, dramatically changing conditions by Saturday. Most slopes are free of avalanches, except for where recent small avalanches have been triggered in pockets of stiff, wind-drifted snow. If the storm arrives early, prepare for quickly changing conditions and increasing avalanche danger on steep slopes with more than 8 inches of fresh snow.
