Older snowdrift accumulations can in isolated cases be triggered by large additional loading on shady slopes. Isolated danger zones occur on shady slopes and in gullies and bowls above 1900m.

Snowpack Structure

The old snowpack is expansively metamorphosed.

Weather Forecast

On Thursday, predominantly sunny weather. In exposed terrain, a moderate to strong easterly wind will be blowing. At 2000m: -6 degrees; at 3000m: -8 degrees. Later in the day, temperatures will start to rise. Source: GeoSource Austria
