In sintesi

The snowpack will be generally stable.

Problemi valanghivi

  • Wind slab

    • Above 2,000 m

Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be generally stable.

The older wind slabs are mostly small and can be released by large loads in particular. They are rather rare and are easy to recognise.

Snowpack Structure

Sunshine and high temperatures gave rise to rapid consolidation of the snowpack in all aspects. The older wind slabs are to be found on north facing slopes and generally at elevated altitudes. Field observations show the favourable bonding of the snowpack. In particular at low and intermediate altitudes hardly any snow is lying.

Tendency

Up to 15 cm of snow will fall in the late morning above approximately 1000 m. Strong northwesterly wind.
