Snow is expected at mid and upper elevations and rain in the valleys by midday. Skiers or riders could trigger surface slabs up to 18 inches in depth tomorrow on steep wind loaded aspects, with the potential of stepping down to deeper layers, particularly near cliff bands and rock outcroppings. It may become more difficult to trigger a slide which means the second or later person on a slope may be the trigger. At the low elevations, mostly stable snow exists although with forecasted rain, once again the chance of wet slides may increase. Backcountry users are advised to consult area specific forecasts issued every morning as new information may become available and unexpected weather can change conditions.
