Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Watch for loose snow sluffing on steep, wind-sheltered northerly-facing slopes near and below treeline and small wind drifts on easterly-facing slopes above treeline. If you find more than about 8 inches of unconsolidated snow at the surface, you can trigger sluffs large enough to knock you down and send you for a dangerous ride.

A storm will impact the area Monday night into Tuesday. Expect a few inches of snow with strong west-to-northwesterly winds. The new snow will not bond well to the loose unconsolidated snow below, and you'll be able to trigger avalanches, especially in near and above treeline areas on Tuesday.
