In sintesi

The General Avalanche Hazard at Mid and Upper elevations is LOW. Well developed crusts should remain firm above 8000 feet. At Low elevations the Hazard is LOW this morning and will rise to MODERATE as warming and possible rain weakens the temporary crusts. Avoid steep slopes and terrain traps where small, wet slides can be dangerous.

Avalanche Discussion

Weak disturbances in the southwest flow will continue to bring some chance of snow over the peaks Monday night and Tuesday. Accumulations are expected to be light. Daytime highs Tuesday will be around freezing and winds southwesterly at 15 m.p.h.AVALANCHE HAZARD FORECAST FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS, AND SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:The Avalanche Hazard will be LOW at all elevations Tuesday although the amount of sun that breaks through the clouds could push the Hazard higher. Any extended periods of sun this time of year rapidly warms the snow and wet, loose slides can result.
