In sintesi
At mid and upper elevations new snow has fallen upon weak layers of surface hoar, faceted snow and crusts. As this snow fell with cold temperatures and without significant wind it lies on all aspects and could be triggered today by backcountry users in the form of soft slabs to three feet in depth or as surface sloughs on steep slopes. Once triggered these slides could potentially pull out deeper layers of snow. Recent avalanche activity has been reported in the Rock Springs Drainage, on Teewinot Mtn. and at Grand Targhee where a skier was buried. At low elevations isolated pockets of slab could be released particularly in steep snow loaded slopes and gullies.
