At the upper elevations small pockets of shallow wind slab, created by westerly winds, may be forming on leeward aspects along the highest ridge lines. These slabs are likely to be four to eight inches deep and lie upon faceted snow and hard crusts. These slabs could knock a skier or rider over and be a hazard above cliff areas and on very steep slopes. Monitor conditions and be aware of this avalanche hazard in isolated terrain features.

Skies will continue to be mostly cloudy with periods of light snowfall in the mountains. Accumulations of an inch or two are possible. Temperatures will be in the teens tonight and rise into the 20s during the day. Winds will back towards the southwest at 15 with gusts to 25 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard will continue to be LOW. Mostly stable snow exists. Isolated pockets of shallow wind slab up to eight inches in depth could be triggered by skiers or riders in steep, wind loaded avalanches starting zones on the leeward side of the highest peaks and ridges.
