Avalanche Activity
The avalanche conditions are favourable.
As a consequence of falling temperatures and very cloudy skies the snowpack will consolidate during the next two days. In all altitude zones a favourable avalanche situation will prevail.
Snowpack Structure
The snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. In many places there is a danger of falling on the icy crust. At high altitude there are 30 to 50 cm of snow. In all regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
Tendency
New Year's Day: Slight increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of the new snow.
