CM for 26.3 Old snowpack frozen and generally stable. Some new unstable windslab mainly on SW-NW aspects above 900m. Hazard Low

Forecast Snow Stability: The old snowpack will be frozen and generally stable throughout. Some fresh unstable windslab will be deposited during the evening, mainly on South-West to North-West aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations gaining depth are not expected to be extensive. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be moderate to strong throughout, Easterly through the evening, then backing to become Northerly during the morning. The freezing level will lower to around 400 metres. A little snow is expected during the early evening, then dry for the rest of the period. Observed Weather Influences: It was basically a dry day, with the freezing level around 800 metres. Winds were generally light to moderate North-Easterly. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack continues to consolidate in the cooler conditions and is generally stable. There is a breakable crust in many places. The avalanche hazard is Low.
