With a better overnight freeze, snow surfaces should be locked up, and wet avalanches less of a problem. You should still use caution around steep rocky slopes, especially in unsupported terrain features. This transition is a slow process, so if you find slopes with a weak crust and are punching through into wet snow, consider moving to lower-angle terrain. It will take a few nights of colder temperatures to shut down the wet snow problems completely.
Although Wet Slab avalanches are unlikely, especially with cooler weather, these avalanches can be as dangerous as dry Persistent Slab avalanches in mid-winter. On Saturday, a skier was caught and injured in one of these avalanches in the Tenmile Range on a west-facing near treeline slope.
