At the mid and upper elevations dense wind slabs up to two feet in depth and deep hard slabs up to four feet in depth exist in the starting zones of active avalanche paths and in cliff areas. People who venture onto very steep slopes, especially those in groups or on snowmachines, could trigger these slabs. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.

Light snowfall will develop. Accumulations on an inch or so overnight and during the day on Friday are likely. Mountain temperatures will rise into the low to mid teens. West winds at 15 miles per hour will begin to back towards the southwest.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE between the elevations of 8,000 to 10,500 feet and LOW at the lower elevations. At the higher elevations pockets of shallow wind slab up to two feet in depth could be human triggered in very steep avalanche starting zones, cliff areas and terrain traps. In addition deep hard slabs two to four feet in depth have some potential to be human triggered on very steep slopes, especially by snowmachines or groups.
