In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 8,000 feet. Unstable hard slabs avalanches, one to three feet in depth, persist in steep avalanche terrain. These slabs could be triggered by the first rider on a slope or after it has been crossed several times. Below 8,000 feet, the general avalanche hazard is LOW.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A few light flurries might produce a trace to an inch overnight before a transitory ridge rebuilds on Sunday. Overnight lows in the mountains will dip into the upper teens before rising into the low 30s during the day. Valley lows will be a little cooler overnight and then rise into the low 30s.The avalanche hazard is expected to remain MODERATE above 8000 feet. In steep avalanche terrain, backcountry skiers and riders could trigger hard slab avalanches up to three feet in depth. While this deep slab instability persists on all aspects, it is most likely to present itself on east to north facing terrain.
