In sintesi

Yesterday at the mid elevations three natural soft slab avalanches 12 to 24 inches in depth were observed on southerly, easterly and east northeasterly aspects. At the upper elevations an explosive test triggered a four foot deep slab which ran full path in an east facing bowl. WEST WINDS WILL BE LOADING LEE SIDE STARTING ZONES AND INCREASING THE HAZARD AS THE DAY PROGRESSES. Similar events are likely to be triggered today especially in cliff areas and steep wind loaded starting zones. At the lower elevations the snowpack is comprised of weak cohesionless faceted snow. Isolated pockets of slab up to one foot in depth have been recently triggered at the lower elevations. Be aware of terrain traps.
