Salt River and Wyoming Ranges

A shallow mostly stable early season snowpack is beginning to accumulate. The general avalanche hazard is LOW today. Some potential exists for humans to trigger isolated pockets of shallow soft slab on very steep wind loaded northerly aspects above 9,500 feet that are underlain by an early October crusts. All other exposures have a very shallow mostly stable snowpack in which avalanches are unlikley.

The chance for lingering snow showers will continue throughout the day Saturday with mountain highs in the upper twenties to low thirties and valley highs in the upper thirties.
