In sintesi

South to west winds have formed new soft surface slabs one to two feet in depth at the mid and upper elevations. These slabs lie on slick crusts and weak layers of buried surface hoar and light density snow and should be easy to trigger. Some potential exist for these slabs to step down to deeper layers of faceted snow. At the lower elevations isolated pockets of slab to one foot in depth and loose snow sluffs could be triggered on steep slopes.
