Fresh accumulations of snow will continue to build unstable windslab, gradually becoming more widespread and deeper in places, mostly above 800 metres on Northerly through East to Southerly aspects. Coire rims, ridge flanks and gully tops most affected. Weak cornices developing here also. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds strong to very strong West-South-Westerly overnight becoming North-Westerly during the day. Freezing level around 500m. Precipitation persisting through the day falling as snow mostly above 400m. Observed Weather Influences: Winds strong South-Westerly. Freezing level above the tops early morning gradually lowering through the day to around 600 metres. Heavy precipitation, falling as rain at all levels at first then snow gradually to lower levels from midday. ObservedSnowStability: The old snow pack, which is largely confined to North-West through North to North-Easterly aspects is moist but stable. New snow accumulations have gradually developed, thin cover at first becoming deeper windslab by the end of the period. Shallow accumulations above 900m on mostly Northerly through East to South-Easterly aspects. Coire rims, gully tops most affected. The avalanche hazard is Moderate
