More recent wind slabs represent the main danger. They will be covered with new snow in some cases and therefore difficult to recognise.

Some snow will fall in some regions. The sometimes new snow-covered wind slabs of the weekend can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases. These avalanche prone locations are to be found on steep slopes and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Above approximately 2600 m these avalanche prone locations are more prevalent. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong foehn wind, further wind slabs will form from early morning.

Up to 2600 m rain fell on Friday. As a consequence of falling temperatures the snowpack consolidated at the weekend. In some regions in some localities up to 15 cm of snow will fall above approximately 2000 m. These meteorological conditions will cause a slight rise in the avalanche danger in particular at intermediate and high altitudes. In addition sometimes avalanche prone wind slabs will form in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as the day progresses. Below approximately 2000 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

The avalanche danger will persist.
