Avalanche Activity

In localities where more snow falls danger level 1 (low) will be reached in the evening.

As the snowfall level drops the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses. Above approximately 1400 m and in gullies and bowls the danger of dry avalanches will increase a little to level 1 (low). In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on the smooth surface of an old snowpack.

Snowpack Structure

The snowfall will give rise as the day progresses to favourable bonding of the snowpack. Wind and new snow above approximately 1000 m. In isolated cases new snow and wind slabs are lying on the smooth surface of an old snowpack.
