Avalanche Activity

Wet snow slides and avalanches are possible in isolated cases. Mostly these are small.

Individual mostly small wet snow slides and avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. In gullies and bowls a sometimes precarious avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities.

Snowpack Structure

Below approximately 1900 m hardly any snow is lying. The older wind slabs are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes. As a consequence of the precipitation, the likelihood of wet snow slides and avalanches being released will increase.
