As a consequence of a strong wind from northeasterly directions, rather small wind slabs formed in the last few days in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The small quantity of fresh snow as well as the small wind slabs are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack on shady slopes. These can be released, especially at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, caution is to be exercised in particular in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 3 (considerable). As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist avalanches being released will increase gradually on extremely steep sunny slopes.

10 to 15 cm of snow fell in the last few days above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of new snow and a strong to storm force wind from northerly directions, mostly small wind slabs formed. In all aspects snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2200 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. Below approximately 1900 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. On steep sunny slopes below approximately 2500 m a little snow is lying. The snowpack is not distinctly layered. Shady slopes: The snowpack consists of faceted crystals.

The avalanche danger will persist.
