As the snowfall eases the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent by the early morning. As the penetration by moisture increases more frequent wet avalanches are possible as the day progresses below approximately 2200 m. The more recent wind slabs will be covered with new snow and therefore difficult to recognise. New snow and wind slabs can in some places be released easily and reach large size. The current avalanche situation calls for great caution and restraint.

Up to intermediate altitudes rain will fall over a wide area. The sleet will give rise to a loss of strength within the snowpack over a wide area in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. As a consequence of new snow and wind, sometimes large wind slabs formed in the last few days in particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. Over a wide area 20 to 40 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until late morning above approximately 2300 m.
