Above 2200m, older snowdrift accumulations are often prone to triggering, can unlease small (in isolated cases, medium-sized) slab avalanches. Danger zones occur on shady slopes behind protruberances in the landscape, in gullies and bowls and on wind-loaded slopes. They are sometimes blanketed by fresher snowfall and difficult to recognize. Above about 2400m isolated avalanches can also be triggered in the old snow and grow to medium size. At lower altitudes avalanche danger is low. Isolated danger zones for small avalanches (slides) occur in extremely steep terrain. More often, the risks of being swept along and forced to take a fall outweigh those of being buried in snow masses. On south-facing slopes, some gliding snow activity is being observed. On sunny slopes, small loosely-packed snow avalanches can trigger in steep, rocky terrain.

During nights of clear skies the snowpack surface on shady slopes has metamorphosed expansively. The snowdrifted layers from the early part of the week are often prone to triggering there. From place to place at high altitudes on shady slopes, weak layers are evident in the snowpack, including near to ground level where the snow is shallow. On steep sunny slopes the snow has become moist up to about 2800m. Depending on wind impact the snow is distributed highly irregularly, ridges are often utterly windblown, gullies and bowls filled to the brim with snow.

Another round of clear and pleasant mountain weather with radiant sunshine from early until late. Temperatures will rise, winds will be irrelevant. At 2000m: -2 to +2 degrees. Light winds.

Avalanche danger levels are expected to gradually recede.
