Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and refreeze and will be generally stable on most aspects. Some instabilities will remain in localised steep places where accumulations are deep on South-East to South-West aspects above 900 metres. Gully tops, coire rims and steep convexities most affected. Cornices on these aspects will be unstable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Some light snow showers overnight above 500m, thereafter it will be dry for the rest of the forecast period. Winds strong North-Easterly veering Southerly and becoming light during the day. Freezing level around 500m in inversion conditions. Observed Weather Influences: Strong Northerly winds on the tops, lessening in strength during the day. Snow showers above 1000m turning to rain below this level. Fluctuating freezing levels, around summits early morning then around 1000m midday. ObservedSnowStability: Fluctuating temperatures have helped stabilise the snowpack. On all aspects above 600m moist soft snow is present. On W through N to E aspects, areas exposed to the wind are firm and icy and other aspects although soft and deep in places it is generally stable. On SE to SW aspects above 900m some instabilities remain in the steep and deeper accumulations. With gully tops coire rims and steep convexities most affected. Cornices over these aspects are unstable. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
