Fresh wind slabs represent the main danger. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on very steep northeast, southeast and south facing slopes individual small avalanches are possible especially above approximately 1700 m.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack remains subject to considerable local variations above approximately 1700 m. In some places wind slabs are lying on a wet old snowpack. The weather conditions will foster a gradual settling of the snowpack.
