Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will be well bonded and stable and begin to refreeze in the colder temperatures. Snowpack stability will be good in all locations. New snowfall amounts are not expected to be significant. Greatest snow cover will remain above 800 metres in corries, gullies and on steep summit slopes. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Very light scattered showers overnight will turn to snow on the higher summits as the freezing level falls, then clear to give a dry day. The freezing level will be above the summits at the start of the forecast period, falling to around 700 metres by the end of the day. Fresh Westerly winds overnight will decrease to light during the morning and back Southerly during the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A mild, damp day with scattered showers which fell as rain to all levels. The freezing level was above the summits. Winds were light to moderate South-Easterly. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack continues to thaw and consolidate. Snowpack stability is good. Any remaining cornices are prone to collapse. The snow cover is diminishing with greatest amounts remaining in corries, gullies and steep summit slopes above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
