Forecast Snow Stability: During the evening some fresh windslab will be deposited in wind sheltered areas, mainly on North-West to North-East aspects above 1000 metres. Areas gaining depth are not expected to be extensive. These will thaw during the day, with possible minor surface wet snow instabilities. The old snowpack will be generally stable at all levels and on all aspects. Remaining cornices will be prone to collapse during the thaw. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will initially be light to moderate South-South-Westerly soon backing South-Easterly and remaining so for the rest of the period, strengthening during the afternoon. During the evening the freezing level will be around 900 metres and light snowfall is expected. From midnight the freezing level will rise above the summits and it will then be dry until the afternoon when rain is expected at all levels. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day, with light generally Westerly winds. The freezing level rose from 850 to around 1050 metres. ObservedSnowStability: There are some shallow deposits of new snow, mainly on North to East aspects above 1100 metres. These are not extensive. The surface of the old snowpack has refrozen at higher levels, and is generally stable on all aspects. Greatest accumulations of snow lie on North to East aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
