The snowpack is mostly stable and the avalanche hazard is Low. Avalanche activity is unlikely except for small slides in isolated areas on steep slopes. At the higher elevations, pockets of winds slab may be encountered on steep wind loaded terrain features. On solar aspects during the warmest periods of the day, snow surfaces may destabilize and result in small wet loose avalanches. Backcountry travelers should only expose one person at a time in steep terrain and carry rescue gear.

As high pressure remains over the region, skies will be clear and a temperature inversion will again form overnight. Valley temperatures will drop into the single digits and at 10,000 feet into the teens. Tomorrow is expected to be warmer than today with high temperatures climbing into the thirties. Westerly winds are forecasted to be light with moderate gusts. The avalanche hazard will remain LOW. Warming in the mid-day and afternoon on solar aspects may cause the snowpack to lose its cohesion and decrease its stability. On the other end of the spectrum, it is still possible to find small, isolated wind slabs at high elevations on steep slopes.
