Salt River and Wyoming Ranges
Pericolo valanghe
In sintesi
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. In isolated areas on steep exposed slopes in and around cliff bands the potential persists to trigger dangerous hard slabs with depths to five feet. It is likely to take large loads such as cornice drops, snow machines, or multiple snow machines to initiate such a slide. Remember it is never recommended to assist others when stuck in avalanche terrain.
Avalanche Discussion
( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Periods of flurries will become possible on Saturday from a weak system approaching the area. Temperatures will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper twenties. Winds are to westerly at fifteen to twenty miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Moderate above 9000 feet. A slight possibility lingers to trigger hard slabs possibly to depths of five feet in a few areas of very steep terrain in and around cliffs or rocky areas. It is likely to take large triggers such as cornice drops, snow machines or groups of people on a slope to trigger such a failure. Avalanches below 9000 feet are unlikely on Saturday.
