Expect dangerous avalanche conditions on Saturday. Heavy snowfall Friday night into Saturday will create fresh slabs that you can easily trigger on most steep slopes. Most avalanches will be small, but avalanches could grow large enough to bury or kill you in some wind-drifted areas at higher elevations.

Reduce the threat of smaller avalanches by steering clear of continuously steep, open slopes with lots of vertical relief, and steering clear of gullies and ravines. Low-angle slopes less than about 30 degrees offer the safest riding options.
