In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today and will increase as snow accumulates and is formed into dangerous slabs on lee slopes by high winds. Dense slabs to two feet in depth lie at upper elevations on wind loaded slopes. These slabs could be triggered today by bilers, skiers, and boarders on steep slopes, particularly near cliff and rocky areas. High marking riders should be especially aware as steep slopes may release even after they have been crossed by numerous other riders. Several people have been caught in slides in the Tetons over the last few days. Self rescue skills and equipment are essential for safe travel in avalanche prone terrain.
