The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. Pockets of soft slab exist in steep wind loaded aspects and lie upon weak layers of faceted snow and crusts. On Wednesday a two to three foot deep slab was triggered from a distance by a rider at a location south of Hunter Creek and north of Roosevelt Meadows. Similar events could be triggered today.
