Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are safe. You can still find some weak areas near the treeline where strong winds left drifts in open areas. Cracking and collapsing are signs of danger and a signal to be careful around steep slopes in similar spots.

A winter storm starts on Thursday, although the danger won't increase until Friday. Avoid steep leeward slopes if you find more than 6 inches of newly drifted snow on Thursday afternoon.
