In sintesi

Recent snowfall has favored the eastern slope of the Continental Divide. At the higher elevations pockets of wind slab could be human triggered today on a variety of aspects. These wind slabs will be deeper and more widespread on the east side of the divide and in the Union Pass area. In isolated areas at the upper elevations some potential may also persist for snowmobilers to trigger deep hard slabs in steep avalanche prone terrain. Avalanches are unlikely below an elevation of 8,000 feet.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A cold front will drop southward into central Wyoming overnight and bring some clouds and a chance of snow showers to Togwotee Pass and areas along the east slope of the Continental Divide. Temperatures will drop into the teens overnight and rise into the 30s on Thursday. Winds will be light from the north at 5 to 15 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to MODERATE at the upper elevations. Pockets of wind slab one to two feet in depth could be human triggered in steep terrain and cliff areas. Mostly stable snow exists at the lower elevations where the general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW.
