The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW at all elevations. At high elevations pockets of surface slabs to 8 inches in depth in steep, wind loaded terrain could be triggered by backcountry travelers.

Mountain snow showers will continue tonight then taper off after midnight. A storm should bring snow to WEstern Wyoming form midnight through about noon on Thursday, followed by a cold front and some lingereing afternoon snow showers. High temperatures at 9000' are to be in the upper teens. Winds will increase overnight and will be the strongest between 6am and noon, averaging 25 to 35 mph from the Southwest.AVALANCHE HAZARD FORECAST FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS, AND SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:With relatively small amounts of snowfall predicted the avalacnhe hazard should remain LOW at all elevaitons on Thursday, with triggereable isolated pockets to 8" in steep higher terrain. If more than expected snowfall occurrs the hazard may rise to MODERATE at the high elevations.Backcountry users are advised to consult area specific forecasts issued every morning as new information may become available and unexpected weather can change conditions.
