Continuing Northwest winds have moved available snow into small, easily triggered pockets in lee zones at the high and mid elevations. These small slides are mostly of danger to travelers who might be swept off their positions into dangerous terrain or over cliffs. Slabs to 10" in depth resting on a persistent layer of buried surface hoar lurk on northerly aspects on steep, shaded terrain. The hazard will INCREASE as the day warms. Yesterday dangerous, naturally released wet loose slides ran on East and Southeast slopes by one pm. We can expect similar events today particularly at low and mid elevations. Get off these slopes early.
