Slight increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the snowfall.
In some regions up to 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 2000 m. Especially in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation and on steep slopes small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized dry avalanches are possible. They can in isolated cases be released, even by a single winter sport participant. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.
Over a wide area 10 to 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 1600 m. The new snow will be deposited on a crust. High Alpine regions: Weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on west, north and northeast facing slopes. Over a wide area there is still a very large amount of snow.
