Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh unstable windslab will build throughout Wednesday on North-East to South-East aspects. Greatest accumulations will be above 750 metres in wind sheltered locations. Gully tops and Coire rims being most affected. Small fresh cornices will also develop in these locations. Whilst depositions are not expected to be substantial, by the end of the period, they may well present a hazard. The older snowpack where found will remain stable and become firm and icy. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: There will be frequent showers throughout the period. The heaviest being through Wednesday morning, by which time these showers will be falling as snow above 400 metres. Winds will be strong West North-Westerly, easing slightly and veering to North North-Westerly through the day. Overnight the freezing level will be around 600 metres, lowering to 400 metres by dawn Wednesday. Observed Weather Influences: A very cloudy day with showers, these of sleet and snow above 800 metres. Winds were Very Strong Westerly on the tops easing to Fresh as the day went on. Freezing level was just below summit level, at around 850 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The diminishing older snowpack remains well bonded and stable. Overnight rain has further depleted the remaining snow patches. Largest areas are above 800 metres, on North through East to South-East aspects in the higher coires, and along summit ridgelines. There was a very slight cosmetic dusting of new snow above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
