Forecast Snow Stability: Period of poorer stability overnight as snow turns to rain and the freezing level rises above summits. Most affected areas will be steep North-West through North to North-East aspects above 950 metres. Some localised surface instability on steepest East to South-East aspects above the same altitude. Small but wet and weak cornices. General improvement in stability in all locations much later in the day. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
